CAMERON Hall is now a back-to-back winner of the Wangaratta Marathon.
The Frankston runner, who last year ran two hours, 41 minutes for his 42.192 kilometre race, ran well again this year to finish as the overall winner of the 2016 Wangaratta Marathon in a time of two hours and 46 minutes.
Being a previous winner was not the only drawcard for the 2016 race, Hall said.
“I wanted to come back this year and better my time,” he said.
“I didn’t end up bettering my time, but the race was not run as hard as last year.
“But the top three were definitely a good competition of runners and I was able to hold on for the win.
“I managed to get out to a good lead, and in the end I did what I had to, to win.”
Hall said the racing circuit was in excellent condition.
“It was a really good course,” Hall said.
